Most of the following events contain some Christian content. All of our ministry offerings are voluntary participation. You are welcome regardless of your religious beliefs.
     
International Beach Retreat
Each year, over Labor Day weekend in September, the Briarwood International Outreach takes a trip to Laguna Beach, Florida. Come join us for a fun time and enjoy the sun, sand, games, and meeting new friends. This trip takes place shortly after school begins in the fall semester, and is just in time for new international students at UAB to meet other internationals and Americans.

Friday Fun Night

Dinner and Games! Fun Nights are our time for fun and friendship. These events are held monthly throughout the school year.

We also host special Guys' Nights and Girls' Nights throughout the school year.

 

  
     
     
Cultural Exchange Night
 

We host Cultural Exchange Nights at the UAB I-house every month. These events are times to learn about other cultures and make new friends. We desire to use these Cultural Exchange meetings as a way to help understand our differences and bridge any cultural gaps – seeking to respect, connect and communicate. Join us and lets have tons of fun exploring new cultures.

Fun Outings: Picnics, Hiking Trips & City Tour
Periodically, we host picnics which offer food, games, fun, and fellowship! Each year, we go to homes of Briarwood members with lake houses, which gives people the opportunity for water fun, fishing, and sports. We also host several hiking trips and city tour to local attractive places. Many internationals take advantage of this break from their studies to enjoy outdoor activities and visiting with others.  
     
     
Christmas Party
  Each December, we host an International Christmas Party for internationals and their families. We have refreshments, Christmas music, wonderful times with friends, performances, and explanation about Christmas.
